European Year of Skills
Skills in the spotlight in the EU. From 9 May 2023 to 8 May 2024, the European Year of Competences (EYC) will provide new impulses for lifelong learning. Europe wants to give citizens and companies the means to contribute to the green and digital transitions, and to acquire the skills of the future.

A French law to facilitate the mobility of apprentices
On 27 December 2023, the "Erasmus for Apprentices" law was adopted, aimed at reducing the obstacles to mobility for apprentices.
While mobility during training is encouraged by the European Commission, with a target of 15% mobility for apprentices and vocational high school students by 2030, the mobility rate for apprentices in France in 2019 was just 2.1.
